Oral Health Matters Series 2 Trailer
Richard Watt 00:02
Oral health has now been recognised by the World Health Organization as a key public health priority. However, geopolitical changes are having a devastating impact on global health, especially for disadvantaged and marginalized communities around the world. In this increasingly unstable world, how will oral health be affected? These are just some of the issues we'll be discussing in Series two of Oral Health Matters, the podcast that shines a light on oral health and calls for it to be embraced as a key part of the global health agenda. I'm Richard Watt, Professor of Dental Public Health at University College London, and your host for this series. I will be in conversation with researchers, clinicians and key public health figures from around the world who are working to better understand the causes and consequences of oral diseases and how to improve oral health on a global stage. So if you're interested in global oral health and the threats posed by these geopolitical forces, please join us for Series two of Oral Health Matters. Available wherever you receive your podcasts. Oral Health Matters is produced by the Dental Public Health Group at UCL, with support from Research Podcasts and funding from the UK National Institute for Health and Social Care Research.
